Honey-golden, sticky
sweet sunlight
dripping slowly,
caressing bare
shoulders.
Shadows of rustling
aspen leaves splashed
across freckly-kissed
cheeks, faintly
sunburnt; eyes happily
squinting in the glare.
Warm lilac scent,
drifting calmly past
like brief love. Heart
healing, mending
quickly, beating
eagerly in the breast;
new love is always
welcome.
